Lyrical Inspiration #2 – Bob Marley

17 Jul

I sat down this morning with no inspiration other than my Country Drive kit from Echo Park.  I’m a total bird nerd and these sweet little guys reminded me of Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds”.

“Three little birds, pitch by my doorstep.  Singin’ sweet songs, of melodies pure and true, singin’-this is my message to you-u-u.

Singin’ don’t worry, about a thing, cause every little thing, gonna be alright!”

What a perfect sentiment for a pick-me-up card.  You’re welcome for getting that song stuck in your head.

All embellishments/paper from Echo Park’s Country Drive, woodgrain background stamp-Hero Arts, “little” stamp-Stampin’ Up! Fabulous Phrases, letter stamps-Studio g.

It was all a little too clean and matchy-matchy for me so I decided to grunge up the stamping a little.  Inside: “…gonna be alright.”

In other news…I found this great little organizer (for my mini-acrylic stamp sets) from Wal-Mart in the office supply section for $7.  When I told Adam what it was for, he replied, “oh, for all those little things scattered everywhere that you can’t ever find?”  Yes.  Those.  (By the way, that comment was edited slightly…)

He is the sweetest/most social one of the bunch…but that is him “helping” me with my make-up in the morning! Such a brat!
